Sergio

This video of Fly Bike's Sergio Layos appeared on Thecomeup and I like the steez. It reminded me of BMX circa 2002....except the riding is ridiculous by any standard. Did you see that pocket air??????

From the Mersey?

Mike 'Jersey' Taylor sent us this video a while back but we never got around to posting it.

Mike and Sunday!/Odyssey team mate Joe Cox left for Barcelona this morning to finish up filming for their sections on the Sunday! DVD. I hope you enjoy it - that Nailz guy is also on some sort of flow deal from Sunday!

Random

We don't usually post random music but I guess there is some BMX connection? Proper used a song Austin's from The Octopus Project on a previous issue of Props VM but mainly I just thought this video was cool. Click this for more ideas.

Ligera Tyres

We got these Fly Ligera tyres in stock a week or so and managed to neglect them....never fear, here they are now and ready to ship.

Product Images

We get quite a few requests from shops asking for product images. With Odyssey's website changing to flash they've opened up a Flickr account where you can download all the new images. You can also access the old catalogue photos here.

Here's the new GSport spokes that'll be dropping at the end of the year.

Mix up look sharp?

The new Ride UK is about to drop. Look out for the Sunday! UK trip, Fly Bikes UK trail tour, and a bike check with Proper's Horsham based lothario Max Wood....oh and another (albeit cool) barspin on the cover.

Mike Aitken

5050bmx in Utah has a cool idea to help out with Mike Aitken's medical bills. Click here for more info on how you can help out Mike and possibly win the most dialed bike you could imagine.

If you want to keep up with Mike's progress then check here. I hope it goes without saying that we wish Mike a speedy recovery.

Posh wheels

Ben built this wheel (with a little inspiration from the LTF on Odyssey's Interbike stand) for Ride 24/7. Proper hubs, new gold Odyssey spokes, and a Purple Rain Hazard Light. Pretty suave if I may say so.

The true genuis of IMG

I don't know about you but I hate magic. Firstly it's on TV......on TV I've seen dinosaurs that are good at sword fighting, so I know it's pretty easy to make stupid stuff look real. I don't care if you can make the Empire State Building disapear unless you're going to show me how you did it, so......
This is the Hazard Light rim in Purple Rain. There is no photographic wizardry on display here. The rim is still wrapped in protective plastic so as we can sell it once the photograph has been taken....no extravagances here.
As you may have noticed, the Purple Rain rims come with exclusive gold stickers.......what colour spokes might look a bit suave with those? Yep. This photo may pass as vaguely arty but I'm simply holding the spokes in front of Jon's white 306 bonnet.......I Photoshopped out the bird shit.
Carrying on the theme. What says 'bunce' more than a Million Dollar sprocket in gold.

We used to have a photo booth but it's full up with stock......luckily it's sunny in Pagham.

Purple Rain (YS 8542) Trail Mix pedals and all the other Purple Rain and Gold stuff looked extra cool on the gold LTF at Interbike. Click here or here to check out some other items on that vessel.

See the post below for a closer look at our grip stock. Matt Beringer grips in Purple rain and the new Griswalds which come in Graphite and Blueberry (seen here), Strawberry, Lime, and Grape to match your iPedals. The grips are angled a bit odd because the sun was right behind me, Jon's bonnet is sloped, and I couldn't be assed to move his car. How about that?

Aaron Ross aka Jimmy and Mike Taylor aka Jersey like a man's seat. This is the Veteran in black denim........this is the seat in it's Clark Kent state but wait until you see the Superman. We're too cheap to bother with it but you can take a glimpse here.

The Odyssey Grip Stash

This delightful blue cage is where we pick the Odyssey grips from. We've got a pretty good choice in stock right now.....click on the photo to see some more detail.

Buffalo William

Ride UK has a pretty cool feature on Sunday's filmer Bill and his time in the UK. Check that out right here.

Email is back up in Pagham.......anything sent over the last few days disappeared in to the wide blue yonder so please re-send anything we need to see.

Beer and lathing?

I don't even know where to start with Interbike....so I'll leave all the stories for another day. Here's some cool stuff you'll be able to buy in the future. We received a massive Odyssey delivery today so there'll be some stuff you can buy right now up tomorrow.

In other news, the IMG e-mail is down for some random reason. We should have that up back up tomorrow.
These are samples of the new Chase Hawk grips. These arrived a few days before the show and there is no release planned yet...they are sweet though!

This is the long awaited JC/PC pedal. It comes with no bearings, adjustable tension, and has replacable platforms on either side (which are inexpensive). We're expecting these later in the year.
This is the new colourway for Fly bike's Luna frame. That wild looking item in front of the frame is the new Fino grip that comes as one piece (with flanges either side) so you can cut them to your exact specification.
Sunday! had a big pile of new frames on display. The top two are the new trails orientated frame that comes with a 74 degree head angle, 14" cs, and is named the Model D. We saw the other suggestions when we met Jim at Odyssey HQ and I reckon they picked the right one!!! Below that is the new warm red colourway.

The top one is the Aaron Ross Funday! frame in Ocean Blue.....that is one of the final two colourways. Aaron wanted a shorter rear end and lower bb than the exisitng Second Wave and that's exactly what he got. The other frame is the new pale yellow colour on Ian's signature frame.
We saw this interesting stem from Simple on the Sidewall booth....I guess it's a revised version of the System stem with extra cut outs and a new 'neutral' rise set up.
