KP's Fly Tierra

Aaron's Picnic Bike

If you're watching the X-Games later this week you wont struggle to find Aaron Ross. His bike looks like this.

More Proper Shirts

We got a bunch more shirts in today.......Ben wasn't available to model these ones, so we got someone better. Loads of different colourways. S,M and Large only.

Chase Hawk at the X-Games

While the big dogs were waiting for clouds to disappear in the Windy City, Chase got some lines going on the X-Games course. Sounds like the better option.

Pink Pool Party

Lot of familiar faces and Odyssey action right here.

Fly Classico

These revised Fly brakes have been anticipated for a long time now. Check out the new straddle cables - a variation on the custom spoke set-ups that people have been using for a while. Also note the 'Aluminium' coloured brakes..... all coming soon.

Gary Young at the X-Games

Check out this short video of Gary Young riding the street course at next week's X-Games. The course actually looks worthy of a global TV event. In other Gary news, he's now in Chicago for the Dew Tour. He qualified for the street finals and dirt finals......KP also made the dirt finals......on a Tierra.

Herringbone

If you saw the Aaron Ross Triple Shot bike and immediately lusted after the Herringbone seats then you wont be waiting much longer. Speak to you local Odyssey dealer for either Senior 2 or Aaron Ross/Vet Pivotals.

2010 Proper Shirts

More designs to follow.......in stock now!!

Odyssey Spoke Chart

This is on the Odyssey website but we still get a fair few calls asking for this exact information. Proper spokes use 16mm nipples so just knock 4mm off the length if you're using those.

Go West (A vaguely IMG trip)

Somehow this collection of misfits managed to survive a week in Devon and Cornwall and get some clips for you to check out later in the week. MIA in this photo; Dan Beauchamp, Fooman, Wickham Will, and Joe and Sam from Falmouth (cheers lads).
Ken and Tonash......and Ack doing what Ack's do.
More on this later.........

Chase Hawk Bike Check

ESPN have an interview and bike check with Chase Hawk up here. I guess Chase fancied trying some Olastic cos he's got a pair of Banton 2 grips up there. Also note the 180mm Twombolts.

Tyler 'Tammy' McCarley x Sunday edit

Little Tammy pilots his Forecaster for this Sunday! edit.

Beringer Wallpaper

Matt Beringer went down hard recently and fractured his skull. I'm sure everyone wants to see him back doing nuts wallrides like this one as soon as possible. Go here for the wallpaper.

Fly Bikes Cobra Tube How-to

ML2

Check out the new Microlite V2 front hub and stems. Both are beefed up a tiny bit from the originals.......the hubs now have two smallish bearings in place of four tiny ones. That's a whole lot of extra strength for a measly 20g additional weight. This colourway is smoked black.

Nigel 'Goes All Day'

Check here for the exploits of Mirraco's Nigel Sylvester in Phoenix.

Barcelona Standby

This is the winner of the Nike 6.0 video contest. Amazing whichever way you look at it. Proper Bike Co's secret weapon Joris Coulomb throws down. That frame he's riding is a prototype called the BSH which will be available in August.....as you can probably tell, it's at home on the streets on Barcelona.

Transworld x Sunday Wallpaper

Go here and grab yourself a free Sunday wallpaper. Eric Lichtenberger.

Complete Completes

Jake Seeley, Alex Magallan, and Eric L aboard some 'straight out the box' Sunday completes.

Thursday 15 July 2010

FluoKids

We get a ton of calls and emails every day from riders looking for Odyssey and Sunday parts in some long deleted colourway. Steve down at Lifer BMX in Tavistock has a proper Aladin's cave of said items if you're on the lookout.

On the subject of Steve........he was kind enough to harbour some reprobates circling the South West of England earlier this week. That crew consisting of Tonash, Ack, Jay, Ronnie, Shaun Jinks, Tom Davis, Fooman, Barspin Ben, Pie, (and assorted others) are mainly bad news. Lock up your daughters. We aren't responsible for their behaviour.

Standby Barcelona

Nike 6.0 recently held a street edit contest in Barcelona. A pretty cool idea. In 5th was the 'German' team featuring Italian (with a slightly Germanic name) Fly Bikes rider Stephan Lanschner at Canyelles. In 4th was the Fly Bikes...sorry Spain team featuring Sergio Layos at Fondo.

Look out for the French edit later in the week featuring Proper's Joris Coulomb and the handwork of Steph Karle...both of whom had work placements at IMG.

Adam Banton Bike Check

Adam Banton has a pretty interesting bike check up on Vital (see above). I think everything in this bike check is in stock (including those white Aitken tanwalls) at IMG (apart from Eastern frame).

Mirrco/Nigel Sylvester

I'm not sure how relevant this is to the UK but it's a good excuse to post Nigel's Nike part. If you're in Florida this weekend you can chill with Nigel Sylvester....more details here.

GSport/Dak Edit

Look at GSport go.

Odyssey Convertible Post

See this post for more on this post.

Mint

Here's a few new items........we have Odyssey Hazard Light rims and Vandero 2 hubs in Limited Edition Mint Green. These are the ones you'd have seen on the Aaron Ross Triple Shot bike. Monolevers and Evo 2 brakes are also available in this colourway.

Collect the Triple Shot kit or set them off with some Mint Fly Tierra bars and 'Solid Lime' Aaron grips.

4th Coming

Celebrate American independence with our sweet new Odyssey, Sunday, and GSport parts next week. Failing that there's always the World Cup. Here's some highlights;
  • Sunday Tall-T bars. The Peter Crouch of handlebars at a whopping 8.7" rise. These bars feature a lifetime warranty, and come in chrome, black, purple (to match Forecaster frames) and water melon green (to match Funday 2 frames). We also have Water Melon Green Director forks.
  • Argh the Slic Cable. As trusty and dependable as Jon Terry at the back....scratch that, but they are cheap and colourful like.....pink, purple, and water melon green cables.
  • Convertible Seat Post. These work with both pivotal and railed seats and are made of 6061 alloy. They are 228mm long and come in either black or high polish. The pivotal post is slighly set back. Pivotal posts don't usually have any room for adjustment with regards to back and forth movement so this option gives you a bit more room.
  • We have Evo 2 brakes, Monolevers, Hazard Lights, and Vandero 2's coming in the new Mint colourway. See the post below for more on that. Just like Fabio Capello these will be gone shortly.
  • Aaron Ross grips are IMG's best seller. Combine this with colourways from Apple's original Imac's and Par ends you're on to winner.
  • We get more calls asking for tan wall tyres than Sepp Blatter get's calls for goal line technology. We've got 1.9" and 2.125" Aitkens (wire bead ones) in both black and new white.
  • Team Grips are coming in the Red and Gum of pre-tournament favourites Spain. We also have them coming in the white or Maradona's beard.
  • Red Swirl Team grips and Twisted PC pedals don't look like anything football related that we could think of.....I'm pretty sure that's a good thing.

Aaron Ross Triple Shot

In celebration of Aaron's new Etnies shoe colourway and Odyssey new parts colourway, we have three edits dropping on Sunday, Odyssey, and Etnies. Click the links to check 'em out.

Tom Blyth

We saw this picture of Tom Blyth over on the FBM site. GSport team mate Josh Bedford has been riding trails in Austin and Blyth has a prominent Anthem sticker.....good to see.

New Rad Store

The days when 'specialist BMX store' meant a small glass counter tucked away in the corner of a regular bike shop are thankfully confined to the 90's and shops like Crucial in Bristol, and now RAD in High Wycombe are pushing things forward with new warehouse style stores. Note the fresh stock of Sunday completes.

Al Munger's bike

Check Al Munger's bling gold wheel set up. Get along to Alpha if you want yourself a similar GSport set up.
